This week's blog highlights

I've decided to write posts periodically that highlight the interesting and innovative things WGST 202 students are doing on their blogs.

Weaving In and Out of Society, one of the blogs focused on Visual Art, has an introductory post from each of the group members.  These four posts not only explore what each blogger is interested in, together they also provide the group's understanding of what visual art is.

Gender, Sexuality and Music bloggers have posted a few videos and an article about women in the music industry along with a brief introduction to their blog.

Gender and Sexuality: Social Movements bloggers have posted some links about the sexual abuse scandal at Penn State and current protests within the Girl Scouts.

Keep up the good work, everyone!

Welcome!

This blog brings together the blogs from two sections of Women's and Gender Studies 202: Introduction to Gender and Sexuality Studies, both taught by Professor Beth Currans at Eastern Michigan University during winter semester 2012.  Links to the ten blogs from these sections are available on the right and will allow students in the class (and other interested people)  to learn about how gender and sexuality interact with music, visual art, politics, education, psychology, incarceration, and social movements.  Enjoy!
